Howick village is a historic township known for the Fencible community which was settled by the British in the 1840`s The area is rich in history  and houses Newzealands second oldest church. The All Saints` Church built in 1847. There is also the Howick Historical Village where people can visit and experience lifestyle, costume and buildings from the Fencible era. Visit Howick Market every Saturday morning with its local produce, Arts and Crafts. Take a stroll along Musick point peninsular with its spectacular views over the hauraki Gulf. Or take a walk through the Mangemangeroa reserve with its coastal, native bush and estuary views.

Half Moon Bay ferry terminal is just a few minutes away. Enjoy a lovely 35-minute boat ride to downtown Auckland, and the ferry terminal offering trips to Waiheke. Alternatively, why not take a drive to beautiful beaches and countryside. Visit Whitford, Beachlands, Pine Harbour Marina and the Formosa Golf and Country Club or drive on to Maraetai beach and the polo grounds at Clevedon.
